Alicia A. Bond, Esq. Associate

Alicia A. Bond graduated from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law and earned her B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis. While in law school, Ms. Bond was a member of the editorial board of the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy and an intern for the Colorado General Assembly, Office of Legislative Legal Affairs. She also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Wiley Y. Daniel of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and as an intern for the United Nations Secretariat Office, where she drafted a report of the United Nations Security Council's course of action between 1992-1994. This report was included in the Repertoire of the Practice of the Security Council.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Ms. Bond developed a proficiency in Spanish business and legal terminology while interning at a national court in Buenos Aires, Argentina and working with Argentine attorneys to translate commercial contracts. Her experience also includes collaborating with members of the Argentine Association of Women Judges to conduct research related to the U.N. Convention to End All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.

Prior to her legal studies, Ms. Bond was a writer/editor for Women's Policy, Inc. and adviser to the women members of the U.S. Congress. In this capacity, she provided detailed legislative analysis on the appropriations bills approved by Congress and contributed articles published in Women's Health Legislation in the 107th Congress.

Ms. Bond has also authored articles published nationally by the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights in The Civil Rights Journal, including "Our Kind of People: Inside America's Black Upper Class" and "Christopher Edley, Jr. Harvard Law Professor, Presidential Advisor."

Ms. Bond is admitted to the First Department of the Bar of New York (2007). Her areas of practice are Contract, Construction and Corporate law, including both transactional work and litigation. She is a member of the American Bar Association, New York County Lawyers' Association and a life member of the NAACP.
