Integrity Monitoring is one of the many tools used by LePatner and its affiliated firm, Proactive Integrity Associates, LLC (PIA), to protect owners, developers and investors. Integrity monitors evaluate and track the conduct and policies of organizations in order to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and to prevent, detect and investigate illegal acts, waste, fraud, abuse and corruption. Owners, developers and investors can use an integrity monitor as a watchdog to keep track of their capital projects in order to prevent and front run improper conduct which undetected and undeterred increases their costs and liability.

Independent Private Sector Inspector Generals (IPSIGs) are integrity monitors hired by both public authorities and non-governmental entities to oversee the conduct of contract awardees. IPSIGs are comprised of multidisciplinary teams which may include experience in the law, accounting, investigations, construction, engineering, risk management and other relevant areas of expertise. PIA's staff and associates have served on integrity monitoring and IPSIG teams for clients in the construction and real estate industry for more than twenty years.
